1986 Chevy Square Body CUCV military truck. I bought this at auction from a military auction site in 2012, and had it transported to here. Clean non-registered Arizona Title. I drove it around the block for a while, but now it is idle. For all of you military collectors and 4WD freaks, this is your TV “Barn Find”!!! In Miami!
The CUCV was the interim vehicle vehicle for the military from the jeep to the hummer. It’s primary task was back field and front line support. This truck is fitted out with a radio rack and wooden troop carrier seats. The CUCV was the beefed up version similar to the K30, except for the military, Chevy added extra leaf springs. The truck is rated at 5/4 ton.
The drivetrain starting with the rear axle is a chevy 10 bolt with a Detroit posi – locker. The front axles are locking differential Dana 60’s. The engine is a 6.2 Detroit Diesel with 79,000 on the odometer. The transmission is a THC400 – 3 speed automatic connected to the transfer case, 208 or 208.
So, here’s the deal. First, I won’t negotiate over text or the phone. 2nd, this truck is for 3 types of buyers, I’m only looking for serious in-person offers. Come see the truck, make me a good offer, take home a beast. And the patina, should I mention that?
